New Enclosure was appointed to produce landscape proposals to accompany a planning application for a residential development of 19 flats in the heart of Reading town centre.
New Enclosure was tasked with devising proposals that reconciled developer aspiration and council planning requirements to ensure an attractive and livable place was created for residents as well as making a valued contribution to the streetscape that supported the forward thinking approach of the council to support sustainable development.
Working closely with the client, architect, planning consultant, and ecologist, New Enclosure undertook the review of planning legislation and guidance, an outline concept landscape scheme to support pre app submission, and the production of landscape design proposals to support a full planning application that included: a landscape plan, planting plan and schedule, soft and hard landscape works specification, and a maintenance management plan.
Works are due to commence imminently on the private, communal and streetscape facing sides of the development. New Enclosure is pleased to have been appointed to work on further schemes by the client.
